Secure, affordable data storage – Addressing the growing data management needs of the U.S. Government

About Seagate Government Solutions

We are in the business of data management for U.S. federal agencies. We have highly secure, top performing, affordable data management with a robust supply chain of components and storage devices. Our proven technology adheres to strict government mandates such as FIPS 140-2, TAA, and Common Criteria, while spearheading the way for advancements in the field of security—from unclassified to top secret.

Your data is the heart of your mission. It needs to be kept safe—all the time, instantly encrypting the data on the drive. Seagate Secure™ encryption hard drives keep your data safe even if your drives are lost stolen, or misplaced.

  • FIPS 140-2 Validated Self Encrypting Drives (SEDs) are certified by the U.S. and Canadian governments to protect Sensitive but Unclassified and Protected class data
  • Auto-Lock automatically locks the drive and secures its data the instant a drive is removed from a system or the moment the drive or system is powered down
  • Seagate Instant Secure Erase renders all data on the hard drive unreadable in less than a second via a cryptographic erase of the data encryption key. So you can securely return, reuse or dispose of the drive.
  • Seagate also offers TAA and Common Criteria certified drives

Seagate Self-Encrypting Drives (SED) protect data-at-rest and reduce IT drive retirement costs. Seagate FIPS SEDs also do that plus help you achieve FIPS compliance to gain competitive advantage and protect your brand equity. Be Seagate Secure-strong enough for national security, yet easy enough for the one-man IT department.

Now more than ever, enhanced data security is a necessity for government agencies and contractors. As such, we need to go beyond safeguarding systems—security must start at the drive level. Seagate® TAA and FIPS-compliant hard drives and SSDs answer this need, addressing every step of the supply ...

When you have to be sure every bit is encrypted, software alone is not enough. Seagate offers two levels of hardware-based encryption—Essential and Certified—to help protect the entire lifecycle of data security for business, government, and enterprise.

In today’s business environment, data creates value–so it’s more important than ever to protect it as a vital business asset.

As an early adopter and leader in the development of drive-level encryption technologies, Seagate understands that the most valuable asset in any storage system is the data itself. And while encryption is only a small part of any true security strategy, it can help with privacy compliance.
